this absolutely GORGEOUS layout by SecondHand Angel!!! I literally gasped when it came up on my screen!! The colors are amazing and bright, the picture was perfect and I loved the little ornaments on the bottom!

Week of Nov 23 - 76lola

I couldn't pass this one up! I just randomly clicked on a page in the gallery and this one was at the top of the page and I knew this had to be our lift this week!!

I thought it could be really fun - it doesn't have to be Christmas-y - it can be anything that needs just one letter - an initial for a name or event. I love all the cute little snowflakes and elements pasted onto the letter. I know we'll get some fun layouts!!!

Week of November 16 - Jule (Jule Design)

I am having such fun browsing the gallery and meeting new Scrappers!! I really wasn't gone for all that long, but gosh, there are so many new faces and galleries to love!!! I don't know if Jule is newish or not, but her gallery just pulled me in and I stayed for a long time. I think I looked at every single one and this one just kept coming back to my heart. I put it in my favorites and kept looking but came back to this in the end every time. I then showed my 10 favorites to my husband and he picked this one out of all of them as well - and right away at that!

Yay - we had 7 layouts this week!!! I have made a Photo Album of all the lifts on the top left column called "Carly Twists".

I just can't look past this cutie!!! I love her title work and the zig zag stitches that reminded me of vines - just made this so adorable and perfectly adventurous!!!!!

Week of November 9th - Snaggletooth75!

Ok, so many of you ladies at DST know that I have gotten somewhat active in the last few weeks in the Politics forum. I have met wonderful ladies there and if you are politically minded and you don't mind some lively debate - come on by. The ladies there really are very informative and fun too!!! There's a great mix of opinions there!

While hijacking a thread with some earthy humor, I decided to click on a few of the ladies galleries.  I was amazed that the girl that I was joking about some pretty comical topics with was a GREAT scrapper - I mean GREAT!!! Then I clicked on someone else's gallery, and another and was wowed by scrappers that I'd never seen before.

When you have some time,  click on a gallery of a user you've never seen before and take a look - you will find some GEMS!!!

Gosh, what can I say about this striking bold layout? First of all, I love the use of black as a background. I tend to be a beige-y girl, so this struck me right away. Then the wonderful golden accents and the beautiful photo- well, it just makes for an awesome layout!

I hope I can do justice to this one - paint swatches and this kind of artistic layout is way out of my comfort zone, but I appreciate the challenge. If you are the same way as me - don't be afraid and don't pass up this opportunity to stretch yourself!!!

Week of November 2 - Tanbanan - Amy!!

Here we go with the next week!! I found this in the gallery a few days ago and I couldn't believe that no one seemed to have even seen this one. I was saving my comment until I could announce that Amy was going to be the new lifted artist of the week. Secondly - I love the sweet colorful whimsy of this layout. What I love about Amy's scrapping is that she is deceptively clean and simple. There is a lot of stuff going on here - from color theory, to layout placement and finally a great photo!!!

Yes, I'm keeping my sense of humor about the whole thing. I am doing this because I want to and yes I want people to do it with me, but I understand that life gets in the way sometimes and I'll just be happy if anyone plays along!

It's kinda hard to critique my own layout, but I love this layout. It's one of my most favorites that I did all year long!! I think it had to do with the fact that I could pull from any kit or element I had. This was scrapping for fun - not limited to one kit for CT purposes!
