And now...on to our featured designer...It is only fitting that we both begin AND end the year with this next designer. My friend, my mentor, my Sister of the heart, Jenna, AKA Shabby Miss Jenn!!!

With the announcement of the next designer, I have another announcement of my own. It has been one heck of a year. I am SO PLEASED at how many of you have embraced the Lifts with a Twist Blog and how many of you have played along with us. The talent we have in this community is amazing and I'm honored that you chose to spend your scrapping time with me.
It is with mixed emotions that I let you know that this lift will be the last one for the blog. I have decided to no longer continue with Lifts with a Twist. My original intention 2 years ago was to start the blog to help me and anyone else who wanted to come along with me learn how to lift some of the designs and layout artists that inspire me in the hopes of being inspired along the way.
We've had many AMAZING - I mean truly AMAZING layouts, lifts, artists and prizes throughout the year and I thank you all - with all my heart. You have colored my life so beautifully!
I started homeschooling my daughter this year and somehow all my free time has just literally disappeared. It has been hard to keep up as some of you have noticed when lifts were late or prizes were not passed out right on Sunday.
I quit most of the design teams I have been on in the hopes that I could learn how to manage my time better and keep the blog going, but I really truly, with a lot of prayer, discussion and angst, realized that I can't do it all, no matter how much I want to.
The crowning moment for me was when I was sitting up at 2am trying to get the blog up for the week and Melissa woke up and came out and said, "Mommy, you need to go to bed. Your email and blog will wait!!". This is from a nearly 5 year old. Too many times I've said I couldn't do something Family oriented because I had to do the blog. Something had to give.
I started to ask that dreaded question: what did I start scrapping for? To preserve my family's memories. I realized that I'm not making memories to even scrap, and when I looked at my gallery, I was amazed at how few original layouts I've had time to make this year.
I hope you all understand, and I hope that everyone continues on this amazing journey we call scrapbooking - lift those phenomenal layouts you see and keep growing. I'll still be around, and maybe every once in a while I'll do a lift and see if you will join me. I truly am sad to be leaving the blog behind, but I also have a peace in my heart that it is the right decision for my family.

The Lift Guidelines:
1. Anyone who does this lift whether you use Jenna's elements or papers or not, will get a coupon from Jenna's to use in her store. You MUST complete the layout before Midnight Saturday January 5th, and link it to me in the comments here to be eligible to receive the coupon.
2. Anyone who does the lift and uses 2 elements or papers of Jenna's (And PLEASE - feel free to add in any other designers elements and papers as you like. You do not have to use all Jenna's items, but it would be cool if you did so people can see the kits in action!) but those that do will be entered into a drawing to win Jenna's grand prize gift certificate, which she will surprise you with the amount when she sends it to you!
I will enter all the names of the scrappers and pick the lucky winner!!! No contest, no "whoever's the best" - it will be a random drawing. Everyone has an equal chance to win.
3. Post your layout up on the web where ever you'd like, with a link to it in the comments here, and I will send you the code for your coupon. I would prefer this method as typepad emails me with your email addys and then I don't have to go searching for it! LOL. If you just post it in the gallery but don't link me up, I may not see it and you may miss out on being in the drawing!
4. I will set up a photo album here and post all the lifts on the blog in the photo album at the end of each week.
5. Each lift and Featured Designer will be featured on the blog for one week. I don't ever CLOSE the lifts, they'll always be available and I'll upload any latecomers when I get them, but the contest / Featured Designer Goodies end on Saturday midnight of each week. The photo albums will remain on the site.
